Powell

We were driving down to southern Utah (possibly lake Powell). There was a city past Springville that had three amazing skateparks in a row and I really wanted to know the name of the city so I could come by and check it out sometime, but we were driving too fast through and didn't stop. Also, no one driving with us seemed to know either. I was on the boat with JHam only the water wasn't out in the open. It was as if a large warehouse was full of water and that's where we had to tie up the boats. On the dock, there were already a ton of boats and so we found a spot to tie up, only the problem was that the anchor wasn't catching. For some reason or another, we had to tie up the boat to the dock as well as cast anchor. We started drifting away out of the spot and finally JHam got the anchor set but we were a good distance from the dock itself. Some girl in a dingy came up and boarded my boat when I was all alone (Jeff had to go check in at the boat house). She seemed like some sort of waitress or employee of the docking area. We had a great night.

Quilt

It started out surfing in Bali or maybe it was in Australia. I was with Taylor and we found this really weird reef that broke all different and such. I had a bunch of good runs on it and learned how to dive forward over the shallow reef when I was crashing so I didn't get hurt very much. I had taken off a bunch of days off at work but for some reason, I had about seven hundred dollars left in credit that I could apply to a flight to Thailand or someplace else on my way home. I really wanted to do this, but I would have to email my boss and ask him if it was ok. Suddenly I was at Disneyland and me and my dad were about to buy a weird crate-full of quilt stuffing that was home made in the sheep area of Disneyland. It was going to cost one hundred dollars. We wanted to get it for grandma so I called her up to ask if it was worth it and if/when she would use it to make her quilts. As I called I got a message on the message machine from David saying, "Hey grandma, is Jacob there? He must be because he is hogging up the line and making Rainne miss her call." I was a bit upset about his accusation. Grandma picked up and talked with me about it. We pulled out some of the quilts stuffing, only they were just polar fleece like the old blankets that grandma had made for us a long time ago, the camouflage, the purple and Nathan's blue one and my red one. We ended up buying them anyway and started to leave. There was a bum passed out in the gutter and mom was upset at herself for trying to figure out what the bum was doing there and who he was trying to visit. He was apparently dad's brother or cousin and she felt bad for some reason or another. I started to try and tell her about the phone message David left on grandma's phone and my mom tried to explain to me how David was being controlled by his mother. When I was in a band playing gigs, he once tried to come down to southern California to see one of my shows but was unable to because of his mother but he couldn't because she wouldn't let him. I just thought that he didn't like me. Lastly Wesley and I were trying to get into our car to get out of the parking lot at some small strip mall. The car next to us was parked really close so we had to squeeze in to open the doors and get in. The girl who was driving the car next to us had roller blades on and as she was getting in, she was asking some questions about getting a driver's license. Wesley decided she was cute and so he tried to start explaining to her all about getting a certain amount of hours in and such before getting the license and also how you could start at age fifteen. I spoke up and reminded him that were we were still in California and that the laws varied from state to state. Then she got into her car and drove off with the roller blades still on. Somehow it worked ok and wasn't illegal in California to drive like that as a minor.
